This part of Paynecta is being built. What is on this page is settled; anything not described here is not ready, and will be documented when it is rather than promised in advance.

Money settles to you

A collection settles to a destination you nominate: a bank account, a paybill, or a till. It does not sit in a Paynecta balance waiting to be withdrawn.
A wallet for paying money out, petty cash and similar, is planned. It will sit alongside collection rather than replace it, and it will be documented here when it arrives.
That is why an account cannot collect until two things are true at once:
1

Verification is approved

We know who the business is.
2

A settlement destination exists

We know where the money goes.
Neither is a switch anyone can flip. Your dashboard works it out from the state of the account, so if it says you cannot collect yet, one of the two is genuinely missing.

Changing where money settles

Changing a settlement destination is the change an attacker would most want to make on your behalf, so it is treated accordingly: every change is recorded with who made it, and account numbers are only ever shown to you masked to the last four digits.
Nobody at Paynecta will ever email or call to ask you to change your settlement details. If you get that request, it is not from us. Forward it to support@paynecta.co.ke.
