Choosing the type
The type is not a label. It decides who verification asks about and which documents it wants, so a business registered to two people should not be set up as an individual to save a step. It will be sent back.Individual
You collect in your own name. We verify you.
Sole proprietor
A registered business. It can be registered to more than one person, and
we verify each of them.
Partnership
Owned with others. Every partner is verified.
Limited company
Incorporated. Every director on the register is verified.
Naming the people
You will need, for each person:- First and last name, as printed on their document
- Their national ID or passport number
- Their KRA PIN
Owners are not team members
Two different ideas, and mixing them causes trouble later:
A director who never signs in is an owner and not a member. An accountant you
give access to is a member and not an owner. The same person is often both.
Adding people who can sign in
Roles, permissions, and what each one lets someone do.
