Two separate ideas, and most confusion about Paynecta comes from treating them as one.

A login

A person. Your name, your email, your password. There is exactly one of these per human.

A business

What collects money. Has its own verification, its own team and its own settlement.

One login, several businesses

Each business is verified on its own. Approving one says nothing about the other, because they may have different owners, different documents and different risk.

Being added to someone else’s business

If a colleague adds you to theirs, it appears alongside your own. You sign in with the same login and no new password, and what you can do there depends on the role they gave you, which may be nothing like your role in your own business.

The same person on two companies

Common, and handled: a director can sit on several companies. Paynecta records the person once and their membership of each business separately, so their ID and KRA PIN stay unique to them rather than being registered twice. The practical consequence: if a director’s ID number is already in Paynecta under a different spelling of their name, verification will notice. Use the spelling on the document, on every company.
